Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner clarifies on issuance of completion of construction certificate

Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner P. Kumaravel Pandian said that it is not necessary to get the completion certificate for houses covering an area of 750 square meters (8070 square feet) or less in the suburban areas of Coimbatore.

Tamil Nadu Integrated Development and Building Rules-2019, Rule No.20. certificate of completion of construction describes that the following buildings are exempted from construction completion certificates.

1. Buildings with 3 apartments up to 12 meters height

2. All houses with an area of 750 square meters (8070 square feet)

3. All factory buildings‌

Corporation Commissioner has said that completion certificate is not necessary for the buildings in the above category to apply for electricity, drinking water line and sewerage facility.
