Coimbatore: Estate worker beaten to death near Coonoor for having an illicit relationship with woman
Coimbatore: An estate worker was beaten to death near Coonoor for having an illicit relationship with a woman. Police on Monday arrested Mariyayi's husband Anandaraj in connection with the murder of estate worker Selvaraj who was llegedly having an affair with the former's wife in the Kolakambai area of the Nilgiris district.
Selvaraj (39) and Ananda Raj (42) are residents of Kolakambai in the Nilgiris district and work in the private estate. Anandraj on Sunday warned Selvaraj for having an illicit affair with his wife Mariyayi. The argument heated up and a drunk Anandraj attacked Selvaraj and hurt his stomach and chest. Selvaraj succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
Following this, Kolakambai Police Inspector Jayamurugan investigated the case and registered it as a murder and arrested Ananda Raj. Selvaraj's body was sent to Ooty Government Hospital for an autopsy.
