Coimbatore:1 lakh stolen from a car in Coimbatore, thief nabbed
Coimbatore: Manikandan (60) is from SIDCO area in Coimbatore. He runs Vishwakarma Construction. He has gone in his car to pay the labourers working for him their salary as construction work is currently underway in Madukkarai area. He kept Rs. 1 lakh in his car and went away to inspect the construction work. When he came back, he was shocked to find that the money in the car had been stolen.
He lodged a complaint with the Madukkarai police. Police registered a case and investigated. It was revealed that supervisor Srinivasan (27) who worked for Manikanda was absconding since that evening. Following the information received by the police that Srinivasan was in the Madukkarai market area, the police arrested him and confiscated the money from him. He was also produced in court and remanded into custody.
