Coimbatore: Three arrested for selling ganja in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Three persons were arrested for selling ganja in Coimbatore and around 2-1/4 kg of the drug was seized from them. Police in plainclothes raided the Coimbatore Podanur Eachanari railway track area on receiving a tip-off that ganja was being sold there.
A young man who was there at the time was wandering around suspiciously. When police caught him and checked, it was revealed that he had 100g of ganja for sale. Following the police investigation, it was revealed that the person involved in the sale of ganja was Anish Babu (36) from Othakalmandapam area. Following this, the police registered a case against him and arrested Anish Babu and remanded him in custody.
Similarly, the Ratnapuri Policeinterrogated two youths on suspicion while patrolling and found they were in possession of a 2 kilo and 250 grams of ganja. The police investigation revealed that one of them was Ranjith (21) from the same area and the other one was Karthik (a) Seenu from Sivananda Colony. Following this, the police registered a case against the two, arrested them and remanded them into custody.
