Pollachi: The All Women's Police (West) in Pollachi have registered a case against Nagaraj (21) from Anamalai for impregnating a minor girl from the same area.
According to police reports, Nagaraj a daily labourer from Anamalai and a 17-year-old minor girl from the same area have been in a relationship. Recently, the parents of the girl took her to a hospital, after she repeatedly complained of stomach ache.
During medical examination, it was found that the girl was 7 months pregnant. Shocked by the news, the parents have registered a case against Nagaraj for impregnating the girl.
Based on the girl's statement and investigation, the police have booked Nagaraj under POCSO. Shortly, he will produced before a magistrate and imprisoned, say police sources.
