Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi passed away on Wednesday due to Covid-19. He was undergoing critical treatment at AIIMS in Delhi after he contracted Covid.


Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi passed away on Wednesday due to Covid-19. He was undergoing critical treatment at AIIMS in Delhi after he contracted Covid.

The 65-year-old Minister had confirmed his diagnosis in September 11 and said that he was doing fine and requested all who were in touch with him to get tested.

Hebreathed his last in AIIMS Delhi on Wednesday. Angadi is the first Union Minister from Modi's Cabinet and the second parliament member from Karnataka to have succumbed to Covid-19.

Condoling his demise, PM Modi tweeted that Angadi was a dedicated MP and effective Minister, admired across the spectrum. His demise is saddening.
