Tamil Nadu BJP leader L Murugan, who was present at the meeting, told reporters that the Central Government was implementing the Kisan Samman Nidhi for the benefit of farmers and it is condemnable that fake beneficiaries have received funds through this. The Government of Tamil Nadu should take appropriate action against whoever is behind this scam and set up a special investigation team to look into this scandal, he said.

He also said that trilingual education is practiced in CBSE and matriculation schools in Tamil Nadu, but most of the students belonging to SC, ST and OBC classes in Tamil Nadu who are studying in government schools do not enjoy this privilege.
