Ganesan and his wife from Ponni Nalli Konar Street, Velandipalayam have a four and a half year old girl child. Since both the parents go out to work in the morning, they left biscuits and milk for the girl to have in the day.
The girl consumed the milk and biscuits and went to sleep. When the parents arrived back from work, they tried to wake the sleeping child to no avail. Following this, they took the child to the GH for treatment. The doctors who examined the child informed that the child was dead on arrival.
Shocked by this, the parents cried out in anguish. The Saibaba Colony police have registered a case and are investigating.
This incident where the parents had to leave a young child alone at home due to work and the child passing away due to choking of food and suffocation has caused sadness among friends and relatives.
