Tirupur: Tirupur on Wednesday reported a spike of 120 new COVID-19 cases taking the total number of infections to 3,792.

The number of active cases stood at 1,284 today.

The district reported one COVID death today. The details of today's fatality are:

An 86 Years old Male from Tiruppur having COVID-19 RTPCR Positivity on 30.08.2020 with SHTN / DM admitted on 01.09.2020 at 08.20 PM in Tiruppur MCH with Complaints of breathing difficulty died on 07.09.2020 at 06.00 p.m due to ARDS / COVID-19 Pneumonia.

In some positive news, the district posted 120 recoveries today, taking the tally of discharges to 2,545.
