Coimbatore: Textile bundles were stolen from a moving lorry near Coimbatore in a movie style heist. The bundles were on the way from Erode to Kerala.



Lorry number TN-41 AU 8290 was carrying textile bundles to Kerala and a driver from Nagercoil was operating the vehicle.

He inspected the lorry when he arrived from the Perundurai Vijayamangalam toll gate to the Karumathampatti toll gate and noticed that the ropes used to tye load were unknotted. He climbed on the lorry to inspect and was shocked to find that four bundles worth Rs.50,000 had been stolen by cutting open the tarpaulin.



He then realised that robbers must have come behind the running vehicle and climbed it and nabbed the bundles. The clothes in the lorry were slotted to reach Trivandrum, Kerala.

When the lorry driver went to the local police station for lodging a complaint, they refused to accept it and advised him to file it at the Avinashi police station. Following this, under the advice of the DSP, Karumathampatti police registered the complaint and a receipt was provided to the driver.

This daring heist in movie style that took place on a moving lorry has scared lorry drivers.
