The number of active cases stood at 317 today.

A 65 Years old Male from Nilgiris having COVID 19 RTPCR Positivity on 31.08.2020 with SHTN admitted on 31.08.2020 at 10.50 AM at GHQH, Ooty with complaints of difficulty in breathing for 3 days, died on 01.09.2020 at 07.10 PM due to COVID-19 Pneumonia / ARDS.

In some positive news, the district discharged 29 recovered patients today, taking the tally of recoveries to 1,339.
