The areas of Kavundampalayam, Mettupalayam, Periyanaickenpalayam, Annur, Thondamuthur, Siruvani dam areas and Valparaihave been experiencing heavy rains since the month of July.
As a result of this, Coimbatore district appears cloudy and overcast. Meanwhile, a total of 287.1 mm of rainfall was recorded in the Coimbatore District, yesterday.
Annur received 6 mm, Airport received 13 mm, Mettupalayam received 35.2 mm, Sulur received 40 mm, Agri University received 26 mm, Pollachi received 9.3 mm, Aliyar received 6.2 mm, Sholayar received 15 mm, Valparai Taluk received 26 mm, Valparai PAP received 27 mm, Chinna Kallar received 19 mm, Cinchona received 17 mm, Coimbatore South received 36 mm and Periyanaickenpalayam received 11.4 mm.
