Coimbatore Government Transport Corporation authorities informed that 406 government buses will be operated for use by the public in the Coimbatore district alone, today.

The Tirupur district authorities have meanwhile announced that 130 government buses will be operated today in the Tirupur district.

The Tamilnadu government has now announced a lot of relaxations in the lockdown that was enforced due to the spread of COVID-19.

As per the newly announced relaxations, public transport has been reopened. Following this, the transport department authorities informed that 130 government buses will be operated in Kangeyam, Madathukulam, Udumalaipettai, Avinashi and Dharapuram within the limits of Tirupur district.

It has also been informed that the number of buses would be increased depending on the need of the public.
