Coimbatore: Forest department appreciated a school student near Pollachi for rescuing an injured owl.
Harihara Priyan is from Angalakurichi Muthamil Nagar at Valparai Block near Pollachi. He is studying Std 10 in a private school. This morning, he heard noises outside his home and when he came out, he saw a flock of crows attacking an owl.
He immediately rescued the owl and handed it over to the forest officer at the Aliyar check post.
The forest officer tended to the owl with medicines and released it safely into dense forests. The forest officer appreciated the school student who rescued the owl.
