The Nilgiris: The corpse of a 60-year-old man was found three days after he was attacked by an elephant.

Palaniyandi (60), was a resident of the Gandhinagar area in the Oveli Town Panchayat near Gudalur. His corpse was retrieved three days after he was attacked and killed by an elephant.

The Forest department has retrieved the body of Palaniaandi and are conducting an investigation into his death.
