20 people including DMK ex-minister diagnosed with COVID-19  in Pollachi

Coimbatore: 20 people including three DMK leaders have been diagnosed with COVID-19. COVID-19 is increasing at an alarming rate in Pollachi and 2 receiving treatment in hospitals died yesterday. Of note, DMK's former minister M. Kannappan and District Head Selvaraj have been diagnosed among these 20 people.

13. 50-year-old man, Nataraja Layout

20 of them diagnosed with COVID-19 in Pollachi on the same day yesterday has raised the eyebrows in the quaint city of Pollachi. All the infected people are being treated at Pollachi Government Hospital, Coimbatore Government Hospitals and other private hospitals. Health officers are contact tracing all the relatives and friends of those who are infected with COVID-19.

56-year-old real estate broker from Pollachi LIG Colony and a 60-year-old road contractor from Anaimalai died due to treatment failure at the Coimbatore Government Hospital yesterday. Health officials have taken action to bring the houses and surrounding areas of the infected people under control.
