Police constable tests positive for COVID-19 in Panthalur, Nilgiris; residence sealed

The Nilgiris: A policeman at the Nilakottai police station near Bandalur, Nilgiris was tested positive for COVID-19. Following this, the old police station, where the cop had been staying, was sealed.

The Nilgiris: A policeman at the Nilakottai police station near Bandalur, Nilgiris was tested positive for COVID-19. Following this, the old police station, where the cop had been staying, was sealed.

The police man who is a native of Ariyalur, travelled from Nelakkottai to Ariyalur. Since he was lodged at the old police station building, he was quarantined there until his test results came.

He tested positive for COVID-19.



Following this he was admitted into the Ooty Government hospital for treatment and the old building was locked down.

Under the supervision of the Nilakottai Panchayat Council President Dermila, Panchayat Secretary Senthil Kumar, and the Village Administrative Officer Ashok Kumar, the old Police Station building was sealed.



Further, the residential areas near the police station were also fumigated.
