Coimbatore: In the angoda Lokka case, the bail pleas of one of the accused Sivagami Sundari has been rejected.
In the mysterious death of Sri Lankan gangster Angoda Lokka, Amani Tanji, who is said to be Angoda Lokka's girlfriend, was arrested and jailed along with Sivagami Sundari, a lawyer from Madurai, and Dyaneswaran from Tirupur for allegedly helping him prepare fake documents.
Amani Tanji is now in Chennai Jail, Dyaneswaran in Pollachi Jail and Sivagami Sundari in Coimbatore Central Jail. Following this, Sivagami Sundari, one of the three arrested in the Angoda Lokka case, filed a petition in the court on the 20th seeking bail.
Coimbatore Criminal Court Chief Justice Sreekumar ordered a hearing on the petition on the 24th. The hearing on the petition was held todayand in the hearing Judge Sreekumar dismissed Sivagami Sundari's bail plea.
