House broken into near Coimbatore - Gold and money stolen

Coimbatore: A house was broken into near Coimbatore and eight sovereigns of jewelry and Rs 40,000 were stolen.

Coimbatore: A house was broken into near Coimbatore and eight sovereigns of jewelry and Rs 40,000 were stolen.

The couple Ravikumar and Jegatheeswari live in a residential area called Vignesh Park on the Chettipalayam-Palladam road in Coimbatore. Ravikumar is working in a private company and wife Jegatheeswari works at the Myleripalayampanchayat office. The two locked their home and left for work yesterday morning.

When Jagadeeswari returned home in the evening, she was shocked to find that the door of the locked house had been broken into. She lodged a complaint at the Chettipalayam police station. Following this, the police registered a case and are searching for the culprits. The theft, which took place when no one was at home, has caused fear amid nearby residents.
