Tricolor hoisted at government offices in Pollachi

Coimbatore: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated at various government offices and undertakings in Pollachi town on Saturday, without much fanfare.


Coimbatore: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated at various government offices and undertakings in Pollachi town on Saturday, without much fanfare. 

Usually, the Independence Day, which is marked with a lot of pomp and gaiety was a low-key affair, this year due to the corona pandemic both at New Delhi and other States. At the Pollachi Collector's Office, Sub- Collector Vaithiyanathan hoisted the national tri-colour.



Similarly, in other government offices in Pollachi including Forest Department Office, Police Stations, Deputy Superintendent of Police Office, Municipal Office, the concerned head of the departments hoisted the national flag and distributed sweets.

Social distancing and all COVID norms were observed during the celebrations.
