Coimbatore: A daily wage labourer who kidnapped a 15-year-old girl has been arrested and remanded under POCSO, in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: A daily wage labourer who kidnapped a 15-year-old girl has been arrested and remanded under POCSO, in Coimbatore.
Sundararajan, a resident of Dindigul works as a daily wage labourer at Seeranaickenpalayam near R.S. Puram. He became acquainted with a 15-year-old girl from the same area. In February this year, the girl was enticed by Sundararajan with the promise of marriage and kidnapped.
The girl's parents filed a complaint with the R.S. Puram police following her disappearance. The police filed a case and were on the lookout for Sundararajan.
A special team was formed and the search was on for the accused. When the Special team received information regarding the accused, they travelled to Dindigul and arrested Sundararajan who was residing with his father. The girl who had been lost for five months was also rescued.
Following this, a case was filed on Sundararajan under POCSO and he was imprisoned.
