DMK has dual standards in domestic and public policies - Bharat Sena Head Senthil Kannan

Coimbatore: Bharat Sena Founder President Senthil Kannan met with the members of the press at the Coimbatore press conference and said that Arun Krishnan, the organizer of the Bharat Sena's southern district, had been arrested last week for throwing saffron paint on the Periyar statue in the Sundarapuram area of Coimbatore.

He said he welcomes Arun Krishnan's act and those who insult Hinduism will face this kind of retaliation from Hindu organisations. He said if desecrating the Periyar statue was wrong, insulting Lord Murugar's Kanda Shasti Kavasam is also wrong.

He said, "None of the Hindu people should vote for this alliance in the coming elections. Tamil Nadu is not the land of Periyar, but the land of Nayanmars and Alvars. We will not let this become Periyar's land."

He said DMK always acts against Hindus and his party is ready to go to any extent to protect Hinduism. He said, "the primary reason for the Periyar statue issue is the desecration of Kanda Sashti Kavasam. There is always a reaction to an action."

He condemned Tamil Nadu government for not taking any action in the Kanda Shasti Kavasam case. He said,"For us Hinduism is everything. We want Hindus to represent us at all the level. Only Hindus can become members or Bharat Sena. Only they can hold the posts. Despite our alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party, we always want to prioritise Hindus and Hinduism."

He added that, "Leaders such as Stalin, Vaiko and Seeman have a duality of standards. They have different policies for their homes and the public. We condemn this."
