Workers from Hot Chocolate restaurant chain petition against management

The workers of popular food chain, Hot Chocolate, today petitioned the Collector with complaints against the management.

Their complaint maintained that the management failed to create a healthy environment for them to work. The workers mentioned that they belonged to all branches of the food chain in Coimbatore.

They alleged that "There is no appointment order and not even a pay slip. We are paid in instalments and we do not know about the payment details of the job". They also said they received threats from the management when they questioned about the delay in the salaries.

One of the staff also said, that they were not given proper food by the management. They were provided unhygienic food in plastic bags.

They also complained that "Even the kitchens were not clean and healthy. We have received many complaints from customers regarding the poor quality of the food, but when we take the issue to the management, we are asked to keep the issue a secret and not reveal to others".
