A 45 year old Trampled to Death by Elephant

An Irular tribe, M.Raman aged 45, was trampled to death by an elephant in the outskirts of Karunya Nagar Coimbatore. It is deemed that this unforeseen incident occurred during the early hours of yesterday morning, while he was engaged in collecting woods around the reserve area if Kumthipathi.

Yesterday evening, the locals found him dead and reported the incident to Alandurai police station. As constant jumbo movement was suspected around the area, the efforts to recover the body will begin only this morning, said officials.
