Drive to curb tobacco and cigar sales near Educational Institution

Even after getting so much awareness regarding effects of tobacco and cigar there is still rise in outlets selling this product. The majority of individuals using this product is students of school and colleges as they get this easily near the educational institutes.

With the Madras High Courts order, the city police are going to form squads to stop smoking in public and raid shops selling these products near educational institutions. 15 law and order Inspectors will form a team and conduct frequent surprise checks at the shops near schools and colleges. Because mostly the shop owners hide the product fearing of police raids.

The city police have requested the citizens of Coimbatore to make use the Whatsapp number 8190000100 to pass the information regarding shops who sell this product to students or run such shop near the  educational institution. The identity of the person will be confidential so people can lend a helping hand to the city cops for curbing the issue.
