Man Animal conflicts are on the rise in the Nilgiris District. Yet another incident of elephant attack was reported from Gudalur . On May 27th K.Sadayappan aged 57 of Gudalur was attacked by an elephant while he was working in government tea estate of Pandiyar area . He sustained several injured and was admitted to Government Hospital Coimbatore. In spite of the treatment for so many days, he lost his life today at the Government Hospital .
