S. Jagan (31) of Azhagapuri in Theni district, died of burns as a lit gunny bag thrown at a herd of elephants fell on him.
He died at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.
Case Against Four: The police have booked four persons on the charge of trying to murder P. Nataraj (45) a broomstick seller of G. Kaliyapuram, near Negamam. M. Nallamuthu (55) and A. Rangaraj (33), both broomstick sellers, along with two others threw chilly powder on him and and assaulted him using iron rods and logs.
