Narasimhanaickenpalayam Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple Decorated With ₹10 Lakh Currency Notes

On the occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi, special prayers were conducted at Arulmigu Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple in Coimbatore's Narasimhanaickenpalayam. The deity was adorned with silver armour and the sanctum sanctorum was decorated with currency notes worth ₹10 lakh. Thousands of devotees visited the temple.


Coimbatore: Vinayagar Chaturthi festival is being celebrated grandly across the country today. In Tamil Nadu, the festival is being celebrated elaborately with massive idols of Lord Ganesha, along with annadhanam (free food distribution) and processions.

In this context, special prayers were conducted at Arulmigu Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple in Narasimhanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, where Lord Vinayagar was adorned with silver armour. The entire sanctum sanctorum of the temple was decorated with currency notes of ₹10, ₹20, ₹50, ₹100, ₹200, and ₹500 denominations, totaling ₹10 lakh.

Thousands of devotees from surrounding areas thronged the temple to witness this special decoration and offer their prayers. Traditional temple music was played and special poojas were performed at the temple.

Additionally, annadhanam was provided to the public as part of the festival celebrations. The arrangements for this special celebration were made jointly by the Arulmigu Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple committee of Narasimhanaickenpalayam and local residents.

The temple administration has announced that special prayers will continue throughout the Vinayagar Chaturthi festival at the temple.
