EASA College Student Secures 8th Rank at Anna University as 14th Convocation Honours Achievers

The 14th Convocation Ceremony at EASA College of Engineering and Technology saw M.E. student E. Shahana securing 8th rank at Anna University, receiving ₹25,000 as recognition. The ceremony held on September 13, 2026, honoured undergraduate and postgraduate students with degrees, prizes and shields at Navakkarai campus.


Coimbatore: The 14th Annual Convocation Ceremony of EASA College of Engineering and Technology witnessed a momentous occasion as M.E. Structural Engineering student E. Shahana was honored for achieving 8th rank at Anna University, Chennai. The grand ceremony was held at the college auditorium in Navakkarai on September 13, 2026, at 10 a.m., celebrating the academic accomplishments of numerous students across various programmes.



Mrs. T.E. Sujatha, Chairperson of EASA College of Engineering and Technology, inaugurated and presided over the ceremony. In her presidential address, she presented degrees to students who successfully completed undergraduate programmes including B.E. and B.Tech., and postgraduate programmes including M.E. and M.B.A., congratulating them on their achievements and encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to society.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished guests including Secretary T.E. Ajith and Correspondent T.E. Aadarsh as special dignitaries. Principal Dr. Z. Robert Kennedy delivered the welcome address and presented the comprehensive annual report highlighting the institution's academic progress and achievements throughout the year. Mrs. Jothi Sekaran, Senior Engineering Lead at IBM Bengaluru, participated as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring special address to the graduating students.

The highlight of the convocation was the recognition of E. Shahana, who secured 8th rank at Anna University. She was awarded a cash prize of ₹25,000 in acknowledgment of her outstanding academic performance. The ceremony also celebrated department toppers with prizes, shields, certificates and degrees for their exceptional achievements.

In the undergraduate category, department toppers recognized included M. Subathra Devi for B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, K. Dhanalakshmi for B.Tech. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, N. Sabarinathan for B.E. Computer Science and Engineering, A. Ramsheena for B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, G. Rahul for B.E. Mechanical Engineering, S. Vijayabharathi for B.Tech. Information Technology, and G. Amudheswaran for B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering.

The postgraduate programmes also saw exemplary performers being honored. K.S. Anagha topped MBA, C. Sarath excelled in M.E. Computer Science and Engineering, M. Amala Sharaf led M.E. Construction Engineering and Management, while Theertha Sabu secured first rank in M.E. Structural Engineering. The convocation ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, proud parents and dedicated faculty members who celebrated the academic milestones achieved by the graduating batch.
