The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) is conducting searches at more than 10 locations linked to former DMK minister K.N. Nehru and his brother on Saturday. The searches are ongoing in Chennai, Tiruchirappalli and Coimbatore. More details are awaited.
The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) are conducting searches at more than 10 locations linked to former Tamil Nadu minister and senior DMK leader K.N. Nehru and his brothers on Saturday morning.
The search commenced at Nehru’s residence on Thillai Nagar 5th Cross in Trichy at around 7am and is still underway. Similar searches were carried out at residences and offices in Chennai, Tiruchirappalli and in Coimbatore.
In Coimbatore, DVAC officials conducted a search at the office of a TVH residential project. The company is reportedly run by Nehru’s brother Manivannan. While searches are underway at multiple locations linked to the former Minister, there is no official confirmation on thespecifics of the case being investigated.
DMK cadre and office bearers, including former Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, assembled in front of former minister Nehru’s house.
However, there has been no official release so far detailing the specific case or allegations being investigated as part of the searches.
