Cattle Skulls Dumped on Neelambur Road: Suspected Waste Smuggling from Kerala Shocks Residents

Heaps of cattle skulls have been dumped on the Chinniyampalayam-Neelambur link road in Coimbatore. Social activists suspect the waste was transported in lorries from Kerala and illegally disposed of. The incident has caused foul smell and raised health concerns among residents.

Coimbatore: A shocking incident has emerged from the Chinniyampalayam-Neelambur link road on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore, where heaps of cattle skulls were found dumped by the roadside. Social activists have raised suspicions that these could be waste materials transported in lorries from Kerala and illegally disposed of in the area.

The dumping of waste from Kerala state has become a recurring issue in Coimbatore's border areas. Plastic waste, medical waste, and meat waste are reportedly smuggled through Valparai, Anaimalai, and Pollachi routes during midnight hours in lorries and illegally dumped in bushes along the Tamil Nadu border and Coimbatore suburban areas.

Now, with hundreds of cattle skulls dumped in the Neelambur area in lorry loads, local residents and social activists strongly suspect that these too could be waste materials smuggled from Kerala and disposed of during midnight hours.

A person who went to the bushes near the Chinniyampalayam-Neelambur road for nature's call was shocked to discover heaps of cattle skulls after noticing a foul smell. He recorded a video on his mobile phone and posted it on social media platforms, which is now going viral on the internet.

The waste has caused a severe foul smell in the area, and there is a risk of disease spread due to mosquito and germ breeding. Therefore, the Corporation administration and police department need to immediately inspect the area and take action.

Residents have demanded that surveillance at border check posts be intensified and strict legal action be taken against the mysterious individuals who dumped the waste, whether transported from Kerala or from local slaughterhouses.
