Karpagam Deemed University in Coimbatore hosted the valedictory ceremony of a Thiruppugazh training workshop organized by the Indian Knowledge System. The one-day workshop saw participation from 110 students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham School, Ettimadai. Vice-Chancellor Dr S Ravi and Chief Executive Officer K Murugaiah graced the event.
Coimbatore: The Music Department of the School of Performing Arts at Karpagam Deemed University successfully concluded the Thiruppugazh training workshop organized by the Indian Knowledge System on 07.08.2026. The valedictory ceremony was marked by enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Prof Dr Sajitha Suku, Head of the Music Department, delivered the welcome address at the ceremony.

The one-day workshop was coordinated by a team of distinguished faculty members including Dr Praseeda Pal, Dr Sajitha Suku, Meera Priyadarshini, Sruthilaya R, Dr Indumathi J, and Dr Sandhya Shankar Jayaram under the leadership of Dr V Janagamaayadevi, Dean of the School of Performing Arts. Their collective expertise ensured a comprehensive learning experience for all participants.
A total of 110 students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham School, Ettimadai, attended the workshop and benefited from the intensive training sessions. The highlight of the ceremony was a group rendition of Thiruppugazh by the students, which added a special touch to the event and showcased the practical application of their training.
