Karpagam University Hosts Indian Knowledge System Exhibition 2026

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education in Coimbatore organized an Indian Knowledge System exhibition showcasing 65 student models, ancient artifacts, coins, and traditional dances. Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, Chairman of Karpagam Educational Institutions, inaugurated the event highlighting the significance of Indian heritage and youth responsibility in preserving it.


Coimbatore: Karpagam Academy of Higher Education's Indian Knowledge Centre organized a special exhibition demonstrating the excellence and depth of India's traditional knowledge systems. The exhibition featured 65 student models, ancient artifacts, rare coins, and traditional art performances that captivated attendees.






Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, Chairman of Karpagam Educational Institutions, inaugurated the exhibition and delivered the presidential address. He explained that the Indian knowledge system possesses the unique characteristic of enhancing the body, mind, and soul simultaneously. Dr. Vasanthakumar emphasized that today's youth have a responsibility to make the world aware of India's knowledge heritage and must incorporate it into their daily lives.




Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Ravi, in his felicitation address, pointed out that Indian arts including yoga are superior practices that refine both body and mind. Dr. V. Raghavi, Dean of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management, delivered the welcome address. Dr. V. Janagamaya Devi, Dean of Performing Arts, participated and graced the occasion.




The exhibition gained special significance with the display of ancient artifacts, coins, and archaeological notes by a team led by Tiruchi Ilamvazhuthi, District Commissioner (Scout Division). Sixty-five student models illustrating the Indian knowledge system were showcased at the exhibition.




Traditional dance performances including Oyilattam, Devarattam, and Valli Kummi added splendor to the event. Dr. M. Ma. Shanmugapriya, Head of Mathematics Department, delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. S. Selvalakshmi, Head of English Department, coordinated the event in association with the Indian Knowledge Centre.
