Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage tomorrow (July 28) from 9 AM to 4 PM in several areas of RS Puram due to monthly maintenance work at the RS Puram substation. The maintenance activities will result in a seven-hour power disruption affecting multiple residential and commercial zones.
The affected areas include Thadagam Road (partial), Lali Road, DP Road (partial), Cowlibrown Road, TV Swamy Road (East and West), Sambandham Road (East and West), Lokamanya Street, Raja Street (partial), Periyakadai Street (partial), Idaiyar Street, PM Swamy Colony, and Sundhappalayam Road (partial). The TNEB has advised residents and businesses in these localities to make necessary arrangements in advance to cope with the power disruption.
According to the electricity board, the power supply will be restored by 4 PM if the maintenance work is completed as scheduled. However, officials have also stated that if the maintenance activities are concluded earlier than planned, electricity supply may be restored ahead of the scheduled time, providing some relief to affected consumers.
The TNEB has issued this advance notice to enable residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas to plan their activities accordingly. Monthly maintenance work at substations is a routine procedure undertaken by the electricity board to ensure uninterrupted power supply and maintain the reliability of the distribution network.
