Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage tomorrow (July 18) in several areas around Mettupalayam due to monthly maintenance work at the Mettupalayam substation.
The maintenance work at Mettupalayam substation will be carried out from 9 AM to 5 PM tomorrow. These routine maintenance activities are being undertaken to improve the quality of the power distribution system and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply in the long run.
Due to this maintenance work, power supply will be unavailable in Mettupalayam, Sirumugai, Alangombhu, Jadayampalayam, and Therampalayam areas, the electricity board officially announced today. The affected areas will experience an eight-hour power cut during the maintenance window.
TNEB officials stated that the maintenance work is expected to be completed within the scheduled timeframe, and power supply will be restored by 5 PM in the evening. Residents in these areas are advised to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements to cope with the temporary power disruption.
