Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College Alumni Donate Rs 30 Lakh at Silver Jubilee Reunion

The 25th-year silver jubilee reunion of 2001 graduates from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Vattamalaipalayam, Coimbatore witnessed over 125 alumni from across the globe donating Rs 30 lakh for entrepreneurship programs and student scholarships. The event celebrated alumni achievements and strengthened connections with the institution.


Coimbatore: The 25th-year silver jubilee reunion of students who graduated in 2001 from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Vattamalaipalayam near Thudiyalur, was held with great enthusiasm at the college campus. Over 125 alumni from India and abroad, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom, and Europe, attended the event with their families.


Student Association President Veena Ramesh welcomed all attendees. SNR Sons Charitable Trust Co-Managing Trustee Narendran presided over the function and detailed the growth trajectory of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and SNR Sons Trust over the past 25 years.




College Principal Dr. A. Soundararajan highlighted the activities and importance of the alumni association, expressing satisfaction over the growth of chapters in India and overseas.


As the highlight of the celebration, the alumni presented a cheque for Rs 30 lakh to support current students in launching start-up ventures, pursuing entrepreneurship, providing scholarships to talented students, and encouraging various research and innovation activities.


Teachers and department heads who had taught the batch were honored with mementos. SNR Sons Charitable Trust Chief Executive Officer C.V. Ramkumar, Chief Operating Officer T. Mahesh Kumar, various department heads, and professors participated in the event.


Earlier, the Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College Alumni Association, in collaboration with Thudiyalur Police Station, organized an awareness marathon titled "Marathon for a Healthy Future – Everyone Run for a Good Life," which was conducted successfully.


The alumni reunion arrangements were coordinated by Association President Veena and Professor Sudhakar.
