According to the police, the student, who resides within the limits of the Madukkarai Police Station and studies at a private college, was allegedly intercepted by two local residents, Surya and Narendran, while she was on her way to college a few days ago. The duo allegedly assaulted her, snatched her college identity card, abused her in obscene language and threatened her.

After the student informed her father about the incident, he reportedly confronted the accused and told them that he intended to lodge a complaint with the All Women Police Station.
