Coimbatore:

Members of a Hindu organisation submitted a petition to the Coimbatore District Collector seeking an inquiry into their allegations of unauthorised mosque construction in Chettipalayam and alleged encroachment of land belonging to the Chellandiamman Temple in Kuniamuthur.

According to the petition, two mosques are being constructed in Sangamam Nagar, Chettipalayam, without obtaining the necessary permissions. The petitioners requested the district administration to verify the allegations and take appropriate action if any violations are found.

The organisation urged the district administration to conduct an inquiry and take necessary action to protect the temple property if the allegations are established.

The memorandum was submitted by State Executive Committee Member Satheesh, Coimbatore Division General Secretary Baba Krishnan, Coimbatore Division Secretary Uruvai Balan, District Liaison Secretary Dhanapal, District President Dasarathan, District Vice Presidents Prabhakaran and Bhuvaneswaran, District Secretaries Aruchamy, Maheswaran, Guna and Somasundaram, along with more than 30 members of the organisation.
