Four Road Accidents Reported Across Coimbatore City; Five Injured

Five people, including women, sustained injuries in four separate road accidents reported across Coimbatore city. Traffic Investigation Wing police have registered separate cases and launched investigations into the incidents.

COIMBATORE: Five people, including women, sustained injuries in four separate road accidents reported across different parts of Coimbatore city. The Traffic Investigation Wing police have registered separate cases and are investigating the circumstances leading to each incident.

In the first accident, Nakshathra (20),from Singanallur Agraharam, was riding her scooter along Trichy Road near the Alvernia School Junction when a car allegedly driven by Gnanapragasam of Thanjavur collided with her two-wheeler. She sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

In another incident near the Omni Bus Stand in Gandhipuram, Subasri (30) of Ganapathy was travelling in an autorickshaw when the driver, Abdul Basith, allegedly lost control of the vehicle due to negligent driving. The autorickshaw crashed into the central median and overturned, leaving her with a serious leg injury. She was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

In the third accident, Joshik Jester (30) of Puliyakulam was riding his motorcycle in the Race Course area when it reportedly collided head-on with a Bullet motorcycle ridden by Vaitheswaran (29) of Ramanathapuram. Joshik Jester sustained fractures to his right arm and leg and was admitted to KG Hospital for treatment.

In another accident, Vairamuthu (55) of Vadamadurai, who was riding a moped, allegedly rammed into a scooter travelling ahead of him. The impact threw Murugan (55) of Thoppampatti and his wife Kalyani (51), who were travelling on the scooter, onto the road. Both sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at Ganga Hospital.

The Traffic Investigation Wing police have registered separate cases in all four accidents and further investigations are under way.
