Katta Ravi Teja IAS Takes Charge as Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner

Katta Ravi Teja, IAS, assumed office as the 30th Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner on Wednesday, The formal charge-taking ceremony was held at the Corporation's Main Office in the presence of senior officials and Corporation staff members.


Coimbatore: Katta Ravi Teja, IAS, officially assumed charge as the 30th Commissioner of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation on Wednesday, marking a significant administrative transition in the state's second-largest civic body.

The formal charge-taking ceremony was held at the Corporation's Main Office in the presence of senior officials and Corporation staff members.



The appointment comes as part of the Tamil Nadu government's recent administrative reshuffle involving transfer and promotion of IAS officers across the state. Katta Ravi Teja succeeds M Sivaguru Prabakaran, IAS, who held the position until his recent promotion and appointment as the District Collector of Ramanathapuram district.

The new Commissioner takes over the reins of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation at a crucial time when the civic body is handling several developmental projects and urban infrastructure initiatives.

The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation, one of the largest urban local bodies in Tamil Nadu, serves a population of several lakhs and manages extensive civic amenities across multiple zones.
