According to the press release issued by the Salem Railway Division administration, the special train service operating between Podanur and Chennai will continue its services beyond the initially scheduled period to facilitate summer holiday travel.

The train schedule has been structured to provide convenient travel options for passengers. From May 20 to June 5, the Podanur-Chennai Special Express (Train No. 06028) will depart from Podanur at 7:40 AM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, arriving at Chennai station at 4:45 PM on the same day.

In the return direction, the Chennai-Podanur Special Express (Train No. 06027) will depart from Chennai at 5:45 PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the same period, reaching Podanur at 3:00 AM the following day.

The special train will make scheduled stops at several important stations along the route, including Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Morappur, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, and Perambur, providing connectivity to passengers from these regions.
