She reviewed public distribution services, waste collection systems, and drainage cleaning works while interacting with residents and sanitation workers.
Coimbatore: Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Danapal today conducted comprehensive inspections of public welfare and cleanliness operations across various areas in the 27th ward under Singanalur Assembly constituency in the Coimbatore Corporation North Zone.

The councillor first visited the Fair Price Shop on Peelamedu Murugan Koil Street, where she personally verified whether all essential commodities were being properly supplied to the public. She interacted with shop staff and customers to ensure smooth functioning of the public distribution system.

Following this, she inspected the roadside cleaning work carried out in front of the EB office on Peelamedu Avinashi Main Road. After reviewing the waste removal efforts, she instructed the ward supervisor to install awareness flex boards at the location to prevent public littering in the future.

The councillor then examined the daily waste collection operations in Bharathi Colony 4th Street and Gopal Nagar areas, verifying whether the pushcarts and auto-rickshaws designated for garbage collection were functioning regularly. During this inspection, she created awareness among residents about the importance of segregating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste before handing it over to collection staff. She also directed sanitation workers to ensure daily cleaning of fallen leaves and tree debris from roadsides.

Subsequently, Ambika Danapal visited Shanthi Nagar area to personally oversee ongoing drainage cleaning operations. After inspecting the work, she issued orders to ensure complete and thorough cleaning of the drainage system.
The inspection tours were attended by fair price shop employees, sanitation workers, general public, and DMK functionaries including Senthilkumar (27A Circle In-charge), Devi (BLA2), and several others.
