Snake Found in Coimbatore District Collector's Office Premises

A snake was discovered in the journalists' room at the Coimbatore District Collector's office yesterday. Journalists killed the snake in self-defense when it attempted to enter the room while they were locking the door, causing panic among those present.

Coimbatore: In an unexpected incident at the Coimbatore District Collector's office, journalists encountered a snake in their designated room on the premises yesterday afternoon.

The journalists, who regularly use the room for their work at the Collector's office, were taken by complete surprise when they spotted the reptile near the door while attempting to lock the room. The sudden appearance of the snake caused immediate panic among the media personnel present at the location.

As the snake attempted to slither into the room, the journalists acted swiftly in what they described as an act of self-defense. They killed the snake to prevent it from entering the enclosed space, considering the potential danger it posed to those working in the confined area.

The incident has raised concerns about wildlife presence in government office buildings. Officials at the District Collector's office have not yet issued any statement regarding the incident or announced any measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

The journalists' room at the District Collector's office serves as a workspace for media personnel covering administrative activities and government announcements. This unexpected encounter with a snake has highlighted the need for regular inspection and wildlife management protocols in public buildings, especially those located near areas with vegetation or water bodies.
