Coimbatore:
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a roadshow in Avinashi in Tiruppur district on Tuesday, campaigning in support of BJP candidate and Union Minister L Murugan, who is contesting from the Avinashi Assembly constituency as part of the NDA alliance.
The roadshow began near the Sub-Registrar Office in Avinashi and proceeded up to the Lingeswarar Temple car street, drawing participation from party cadres and members of the public. Mohan Yadav took part in the campaign wearing traditional Tamil attire, interacting with residents and seeking support for the NDA candidate.

Addressing the gathering, he urged voters to extend support to L Murugan, stating that the political momentum seen across the country should reflect in the constituency as well. He also criticised the DMK, alleging limited leadership opportunities within the party structure.
Speaking on cultural issues, he emphasised the importance of preserving traditions and heritage, calling on voters to unite and support the alliance candidate in the upcoming elections.

L Murugan, addressing the gathering, said the election was an opportunity for change and criticised the State government over issues including corruption, governance and law and order. He stated that key development projects, including the next phase of the Athikadavu scheme and underground drainage facilities in Avinashi, would be prioritised if the alliance comes to power.
He also assured welfare measures for economically weaker sections and reiterated the alliance’s commitment to addressing social issues, including tackling substance abuse.
The campaign event is part of intensified electioneering in the region as political parties step up outreach ahead of polling.
