DMK Youth Wing Secretary and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Friday campaigned in the Kinathukadavu constituency in support of DMK candidate KVKS Sabari Karthikeyan and received an enthusiastic welcome from party cadres and the public.

Coimbatore: As part of his election tour in Coimbatore district, Udhayanidhi Stalin addressed gatherings at Malumichampatti Four Road junction and Vellalore Bus Stand, where large crowds had assembled to greet him. Supporters lined the roads, raised slogans and accorded him a rousing reception during the campaign.

Speaking at the meetings, he praised Sabari Karthikeyan as a committed grassroots leader who is familiar with every village and locality in the constituency and understands the needs of the people. He said the candidate has remained accessible to residents and possesses the ability to strongly represent constituency demands before the government.

Highlighting development initiatives undertaken by the DMK government in the region, Udhayanidhi Stalin said work is under way to establish a Gold Jewellery Park in the Sundarapuram SIDCO area, while a workers’ hostel built at a cost of ₹22 crore has been completed for the welfare of industrial labourers.

He further said road improvement works worth ₹9.60 crore had been carried out in Madukkarai municipality, while a 5.6-kilometre tar road had been laid in Thirumalaiyampalayam town panchayat at a cost of ₹2.30 crore.
