Coimbatore: Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP National Mahila Morcha President and MLA, who is contesting from the Coimbatore North Assembly constituency on behalf of the National Democratic Alliance, is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital due to ill health. In support of her, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta arrived in Coimbatore today.
After performing special prayers and rituals at the Tirupati Lord Venkateswara Temple for Vanathi Srinivasan, Rekha Gupta flew directly to Coimbatore. Upon arrival, she went straight to a private hospital on Avinashi Road, where Vanathi Srinivasan is undergoing intensive treatment, and spent considerable time enquiring about her health.
Speaking to Vanathi Srinivasan at the hospital, Rekha Gupta said,
“I have come directly here after visiting Tirupati and offering prayers for you. Everyone is praying for your speedy recovery. Do not worry, I will actively campaign in Coimbatore North on your behalf. Your victory in this election is certain,” she said, offering emotional reassurance.
In Vanathi Srinivasan’s absence, her sons and alliance party members have already been actively working on the ground. In this context, the Delhi Chief Minister’s visit and her decision to campaign directly have created a strong wave of enthusiasm among BJP cadres in the Coimbatore North constituency.
Rekha Gupta is also scheduled to carry out vote canvassing this evening across various parts of Coimbatore North through an open vehicle campaign.
