AIADMK Announces K Radhakrishnan as Udumalpet Assembly Candidate

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has announced former Minister K Radhakrishnan as the party's candidate for Udumalpet Assembly constituency in Tiruppur District. Radhakrishnan currently serves as Tiruppur Suburban West District Secretary and sitting MLA from Udumalpet constituency.


Coimbatore: The AIADMK has officially announced its candidate for the Udumalpet Assembly constituency in Tiruppur District. Party General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami released a press statement confirming that Udumalpet K Radhakrishnan will contest from the constituency in the upcoming elections.

K Radhakrishnan brings significant political experience to the contest. He is a former Minister in the AIADMK government and currently holds the position of Tiruppur Suburban West District Secretary in the party organization. He is also the sitting Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Udumalpet constituency, seeking re-election from the same seat.

The announcement comes as part of AIADMK's candidate selection process for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Radhakrishnan's nomination indicates the party's confidence in his leadership and his ability to retain the seat for AIADMK. His administrative experience as a former Minister and his grassroots connect as the current MLA are expected to be key factors in the electoral campaign.

The formal announcement was made through an official press note issued by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami, confirming Radhakrishnan as the party's official nominee for Udumalpet Assembly constituency.
