Tirupur: AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami visited Udumalaipet on Sunday to pay his respects to Gokulnath, the son of local AIADMK functionary Samy alias Sivaraj, who tragically lost his life in a road accident on October 3.

The incident occurred near Anthiyur in the Udumalaipet area of Tirupur district. Gokulnath was traveling in a luxury car towards Pollachi to distribute wedding invitations for his upcoming marriage in November when the vehicle unexpectedly overturned, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.

Palaniswami visited Gokulnath's residence in Udumalaipet's Minnagar, where he paid floral tributes to the deceased's portrait. The AIADMK leader expressed his condolences to the grieving family, offering words of comfort during this difficult time.

Several prominent AIADMK leaders accompanied Palaniswami during his visit.

Among them were former minister and Suburban West District Secretary Udumalaipet K. Radhakrishnan, former Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman, and MLAs Mahendran and M.S. Anandan. Many local AIADMK administrators from Udumalaipet also participated in the solemn gathering.
