DMK Secretary Petitions Collector for Pathway to Madhapur Farmers

DMK Secretary Thalapathy Murugesan submitted a petition to the District Collector, seeking assistance for 18 families in Madhapur Panchayat who lost their pathway due to railway works in Coimbatore South District.

Coimbatore: DMK Secretary for Coimbatore South District, Thalapathy Murugesan, submitted a petition to District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, requesting the restoration of pathways for 18 families affected by railway boundary works in Madhapur Panchayat of Sulur Union.

The railway administration has acquired private and agricultural lands in Madhapur, Thottiyapalayam, and Ramachiyampalayam areas for railway boundary work, digging trenches to install barrier fences. As a result, 18 families have lost access to their usual pathways.

Condemning this situation and demanding that the affected families be provided with alternative routes without any inconvenience, Thalapathy Murugesan submitted a petition today (October 4) at the District Collector's office in Singanallur. During his meeting with District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, Murugesan explained the issue and requested appropriate action to be taken.

The DMK Secretary emphasized the importance of restoring the pathways for these families who have been impacted by the railway boundary works. He urged the Collector to intervene and ensure that the affected residents are provided with suitable alternative routes to access their properties and agricultural lands.

The petition highlights the challenges faced by the local community due to infrastructure development and calls for a balanced approach that considers the needs of both the railway administration and the residents of the area.
