Young Man Dies in Car Accident Near Udumalaipettai, Weeks Before His Wedding

A tragic car accident near Udumalaipettai claimed the life of a young man who was distributing wedding invitations. The vehicle lost control and plunged into a canal, resulting in his untimely death.



Tirupur: In a heart-wrenching incident, a young man lost his life in a car accident near Udumalaipettai, Tirupur district, just weeks before his wedding. The victim, identified as Gokulnath, was the son of Sami alias Sivaraj, a prominent AIADMK figure from Anna Colony in Udumalaipettai.

The tragic event unfolded when Gokulnath was driving near Anthiyur area.



His car reportedly lost control, veered off the road, and plunged into a nearby canal, overturning in the process. Unfortunately, Gokulnath, who was not wearing a seatbelt, became trapped under the vehicle and died on the spot.

What makes this incident particularly poignant is that Gokulnath was in the midst of distributing wedding invitations for his upcoming nuptials, scheduled for November. The sudden loss has plunged his family and relatives into deep sorrow, turning what should have been a joyous occasion into a time of mourning.



The Komangalam Police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation into the accident. Gokulnath's body has been taken to the Udumalaipettai Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.

This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety measures, particularly the use of seatbelts, which could potentially have saved Gokulnath's life in this case.
